If you know where to look in Michigan, you'll find some really good trails to hike, ski and bike. While many areas are developed and marked, you'll find a lot more hidden gems by just hitting a trail and letting your curiosity and a good compass be your guides. Here are some of the trails I've hiked during the past few years.

  1. Cannonsburg State Game Area
  2. Dutchman Camp
  3. Jordan River Pathway
  4. Lowell State Game Area
  5. Manistee River Trail
  6. Nordhouse Dunes Wilderness Area
  7. North Country Trail
  8. Pine River
  9. Pickeral Lake Nature Preserve
  10. Shingle Mill Pathway

Plus one more great hike...
White Mountains, New Hampshire

Yooper Waterfall
"Secret" waterfall in the U.P.
