After
fishing the Platte heavily, I came to the state land near
Wallin at dusk to find some bigger trout. I didn't see any
bigger trout, but I did see a much bigger coho salmon. A
couple of them in fact.The water here is extremely clear.
Four foot deep holes look like they're six inches deep.
Never caught anything, but I'm sure there are trout in here.
The river twists and turns rapidly, creating deep holes and
shallow gravel runs with little transition. There are even a
couple of places to park and camp.
