General Overview

The rivers around Traverse City—Boardman, Manistee, Betsie, and Platte—are seeing starting to see late summer early fall conditions. The truth of the matter is we need rain. Rivers are running low and clear so you’ll have to work at not spooking fish.  Salmon are beginning

September 4th 2023

A few of us got out over the holiday weekend, and despite the heavy canoe traffic, low clear water and blue skies, the Trout fishing was decent. We caught several Trout on nymphs out of faster pocket water. Stoneflies and soft hackles were the main producers.
